Inside-Outside
Imagine having the unique opportunity to paint alongside international and Chinese artists in Shanghai, visit exhibitions together and immerse yourself in an artistic environment 24/7. Walking along Shanghai's art streets (e.g. Moganshan Lu), you sense a great deal of energy and curiosity, and sometimes feel like an observer of emotions. I tried to capture that in this work of art. You can see many small frames or windows in the picture, which symbolise curiosity. I created this piece in a side street in the French Concession in Shanghai in 2010 during the Expo.
