*Kalahari Sands, 20 x 20 cm
Painted in September 2019 - little did I know then, that the year 2020 would unfortunately be completely without setting foot on my much-loved African soil, or enjoying the fascination of the wonderful national parks and their beautiful, thankfully protected, wild animals.
The warm red and orange tones of the Kalahari desert, which I had the priviledge of seeing on a few occasions in Namibia and South Africa, inspired me to create this small collage in acrylic medium, with feathers embedded.
